The cottage was a fabulous slice of old world charm mixed with modern facilities like a dishwasher.
It was wonderfully warm for a big place and the beds were very comfortable. The huge lounge allowed us all to sit comfortably and to play parlour games.
We ate at the Elm Tree in Langton Herring on the Friday night and the menu was classic with lots of fish dishes.
On our 10 mile walk on Saturday we stopped for coffee at the quirky family friendly Moonfleet Manor Hotel. There were 3 salons and fires burning and the coffee and homemade biscuit were lovely.
Visited Abbotsbury on Sunday where we had coffee in The Old School House.
